Obasanjo leads Baptist Boys School on 18km centenary walk
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in collaboration with the leadership of the old boys association led by the National President, Prof Kayode Oyesiku, and several present students of the Baptist Boys High School (BBHS) Abeokuta, Ogun State, held a road walk of 18 kilometres around Abeokuta to mark the centenary of the school.
The media aide to Obasanjo, Kehinde Akinyemi, in a statement in Abeokuta, indicated that residents and enthusiasts echoed and praised the former President for his prowess, energy and endurance to embark on the walk despite his age.
The statement indicated that who hosted Obasanjo and his team include the Olu Ibara of Ibara, Oba Jacob Omolade; former Finance Minister, Onolapo Soleye; and the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo, as they walked and sang the school anthem, among other songs.
The team later moved to the Ibara Housing Estate, residence of Soleye, and later engaged in further walk to Ake, the palace of Oba Gbadebo.
