Obi floors Tinubu, Atiku’s in Plateau
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has floored the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the Plateau State Presidential elections.
This was based on the collation of results at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), office in Jos, Plateau State.
Obi won with a total votes of 466,272 defeating Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress APC, who scored 307,195 and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, with 243,808 votes.
The State Collation officer Professor Shehu Abdulraman who is the Vice Chancellor Federal University Lafia announced the result at the Presidential Collation Centre in Jos.
However, according to results announced by the State Collation officer, Prof. Shehu Abdulraman said Plateau State having 2,755,017 registered voters, a total of 1, 111,164 votes were cast, while 1,088,170 votes were valid and 22,994 votes were rejected.
The result shows total votes cast across all the 17 Local Government Areas with Labour Party winning in 11 local governments, APC 3 and PDP 3 LGAs respectively.
