Okowa didn’t endorse Oborevwori as his successor, group dispels rumours
A political group, Urhobo Progressives Agenda has corrected the insinuation in certain quarters that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has endorsed the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as his anointed candidate.
The group in a statement by its Comrade Onoriode Umuko, described the report as totally untrue and a figment of the imagination of the peddler.
The fake assertion was also promoted by Fred Latimore, with misleading statements that, “The political pendulum is swinging and very soon Deltans will know the Crown Prince of Government House Osubi”.
Recall that a statement was allegedly credited to Fred Latimore who suddenly arogate to himself the power to speak for Deltans, his statements was rephrased in an online account with different explanation saying that “Deltans need an agbero governor that will truly and genuinely serve all Deltans as a former motor park servant-leader, a friendly governor, a governor with an open heart raised and groomed with Delta local mentality.

“An illiterate who went to night school, a thug, ruffian, hoodlum, gangster and not a foreign well trained or acculturated mentality. Very important for the state to be governed by a renowned thug”
“Latimore and Oliver Fejiro are mischief makers, generators of disgusting falsehood with intention to cause confusion and get the generosity of aspirants.
“Before now, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has stated that the issue of his successor at the expiration of his tenure in 2023 was the least of his worries now. Saying whoever would be the next governor of the state was known to God Almighty alone who really crowns kings.
“Governor Okowa is a true leader with character, Deltans can be sure that the governor believes in free, fair and credible primary elections.
