The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has come under fire over his allegation that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, blew N2.8 trillion federal allocation to the state4 without anything to show. Some stakeholders in the state scolded Omo-Agege that telling lies against Okowa, the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Pary (PDP), will not make him popular as APC candidate in Delta State. They cited the numerous projects of the Okowa administration to show where the public fund was spent in the state.

The APC governorship candidate, on his official twitter page, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege @OvieOmoAgege had posted: “The Deputy Senate President and Delta APC Governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has again accused the Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration of squandering N2.8 trillion in Federal Allocation and 13% Derivation in the last seven years, with next to nothing to show.”
A stakeholder in Delta State had written: @SundayIsima replying to
@OvieOmoAgege, “Telling Deltans lies will still not make you popular or the preferred Governorship candidate at all. Just mind your business and focus on your assignment okay. Governor Okowa’s developmental strides is second to none!”
