Omokri begs Nigerians to help put Buhari in prison
Following the leaked report of the Lagos State Panel of Investigation which indicted soldiers in the killing of unnamed #EndSARS protesters in 2020, social activist and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has pleaded with Nigerians to sign a petition against President Muhammadu Buhari.
The petition, National Daily gathered will form part of evidence against President Buhari in court when he leaves office in 2023 over his role during the protest.
Recall that the Lagos State Panel of Investigation set up by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu indicted the police and soldiers of the Nigerian Army of killing and maiming unarmed youths protesting illicit police activities and bad governance in Nigeria.
Major General Taiwo, who appeared before the Panel during the investigation, according to the report, said admitted soldiers acted on the command of former Army Chief of Staff, Lit. Gen. Tukur Buratai, who in turn was said to have received instruction from the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Buhari.

Before the release of the report, the Federal Government, through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, had in a series of press conferences and press releases continually denied that anyone was killed when soldiers invaded the protest scene.
Despite the Federal Government’s stance, the report shows obvious evidence that there was indeed a massacre at the Lekki tollgate.
And Reno Omokri, who worked as one of the aides of former President Goodluck Jonathan on public relations, vows that President Buhari must not go unpunished.
The US-based former presidential aide made the plea after singer Davido shockingly took his social media handles on Wednesday begging Nigerians for funds.
Omokri tweeted, “I don’t need you to send me N1 million to prove you love me. All I need is for you to prove you love Nigeria by signing this petition to send Buhari to prison for the #LekkiMassacre of #EndSARS protesters here.
“In 4 hours, Nigerians raised N114 million for @Davido. Now I beg Nigerians to show that we value human lives more than money by signing the petition to send Buhari to prison for the #LekkiMassacre of unarmed #EndSARS protesters here.#BuhariForPrison2023.
“Stop saying ‘God go punish Buhari’. If we do nothing to bring Buhari to justice, he will escape. We are the ones God will use.
“Sign the petition to send Buhari to prison for perpetuating the #LekkiMassacre of #EndSARS protesters here #BuhariForPrison2023.
