Ondo State’s SSG, Tayo Oluwatuyi, passes away after a fatal accident on Ife-Ibadan expressway
Tayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), has passed away following injuries sustained in a car accident along the Ife-Ibadan expressway.
The SSG, who was appointed in January 2024 by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, died on Saturday morning at an undisclosed hospital. Government sources confirmed his passing to news men.
Oluwatuyi previously served as SSG under the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s administration before being reappointed by the current governor.

Reports indicate that Oluwatuyi was involved in a serious accident in December when the vehicle he was traveling in veered off the road into the bush.
He was immediately rushed to the intensive care unit of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, where he received treatment before his death.
