Organ Harvesting: Ekweremadu appears before UK court
Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, on Thursday, appeared before the Uxbridge Magistrate Court, UK, on alleged organ harvesting and modern slavery charges.
According to Channels Television, Ekweremadu was in the dock where he spoke twice; confirming his name and date of birth.
It was also reported that his two adult sons were in the court but his wife, Beatrice wasn’t.
The case has been adjourned to July 7 and he will now appear before a judge at Westminster Magistrate court.
Meanwhile, the prosecution insists the case involves a child and modern slavery.
Last week, the Metropolitan Police arrested and charged Ekweremadu and his wife for allegedly bringing a child to the UK for organ harvesting.
