Overspeeding: Woman plunges into Osun river; first responders delay
A motorist on top speed lost control along the Gbongan-Ibandan road, careered off the road and ended up in the Gbodofon river, Osogbo, Osun.
Fortunately, a fisherman, identified as Kabo, close by witnessing the plunge swam to the car, and helped the driver, a woman, out to safety.
The rescue happened before the Federal Fire Service who were the first responders on the scene of the accident arrived.
The accident created a traffic jam along the road, and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) delay to respond worsened the traffic situation.
