PDP appoints Saraki Head of Presidential Campaign Organization
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Director-General (DG) of its Presidential Campaign Organization, Legacy House, Abuja.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Tuesday, stated that other members of Atiku/Obi Campaign Organization appointed as zonal coordinators include: Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Coordinator, North-west; Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, Coordinator, South-East; Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, North-east; Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, South-South; Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, North-central; and former Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, South-west.
Kabiru Turaki SAN, a former Minister, was appointed Head of Legal Matters; while Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State was appointed Chairman of Fund Raising Committee.
Ologbodiyan remarked that more appointments would be made subsequently to further strengthen the campaign organization.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary was gathered to have remarked that the protest of the selection of Peter Obi as Atiku’s running mate and Governor Ayo Fayose’s reporting to the EFCC for investigation, would not affect the chances of the PDP candidate in any part of the country.
