PDP: Secondus dares House of Reps caucus, ready to slug it out
PDP’s national chairman Uche Secondus has insisted nothing will make him resign.
According to a statement sent out by his media aide Ike Abonyi, Secondus said nothing warrants his resignation.
“Those tiny minority calling for his resignation should come clean and tell party members across the country his offense why he should resign.
“He said he will remain focused and committed to the ideals of the party which he swore to protect and defend upon his election to lead this great party 44 months ago.”
A House of Reps caucus has laid it on the line that Secondus must resign, despite a conciliatory move the party elders made last week to help the embattled chairman complete his tenure.
Secondus has been battling for his political survival since his main backer and Rivers Gov Nyesome Wike backed off.
