Peter Obi picks running mate from Southwest

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has picked Doyin Okupe as his running mate.

Mr. Okupe who confirmed this on Friday evening said Obi picked him because he found him worthy to serve.

“Yes, I am the vice-presidential candidate of our party because I was found worthy by the candidate and the party to serve,” he said.

Asked if Obi met the INEC’s deadline for the submission of candidates, he answered in affirmative.

“As I am speaking with you, I am the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Labour Party,” he said.
