Police arrest robbery gang that used gay dating app to recruitlur its victims
The Nasarawa State Police Command has nabbed six members of a r@bbery gang who attract victims through a well-known gay dating app.
On July 31, the suspects, identified as Sunday Michael, Luka Musa, Joy Sunday, Elijah Ishaya, Agada Sandra, and Abdulrahman Tijani, were apprehended.
Using a homosexual dating app, the suspects entice their victims, robbing them of their goods while threatening them with dangerous weapons, according to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel.
In a sting operation on July 31, 2022, at around 07:20 hours, police agents assigned to the Masaka Division raided the hideout of some prominent criminals. They were acting on reliable intelligence.
Investigation revealed that the suspects conspired among themselves and utilise a popular Gay dating App where they arrange dates with unsuspecting members of the public from different parts of the country.
