Police arrest two armed robbery suspects in Adamawa, recover stolen items
The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers in Yola-North Local Government Area, following an operation that led to the recovery of stolen items linked to recent criminal activities in the area.
Police authorities said the suspects were apprehended during a targeted response to reports of armed robbery incidents within the state capital and its surrounding communities.
According to the command, the arrest was made after intelligence-led tracking efforts helped security operatives locate the suspects, who are believed to be part of a wider criminal network operating in the region.
Recovered items from the suspects are currently being documented as investigations continue.
The police also confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the gang who reportedly fled the scene during the operation.
The Adamawa State Police Command reiterated its commitment to sustaining intensified patrols and intelligence operations aimed at curbing armed robbery, kidnapping, and other violent crimes across the state.
Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and provide credible information that could assist ongoing security operations.
