Police rescue 2 of 6 kidnapped pupils in Nasarawa
The Police on Saturday disclosed the rescue of two of the six pupils kidnapped on Friday by bandits at Local Government Education Authority, LGEA Primary School, Alwaza, Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
The bandits riding on motorcycles were said to have ambushed the school children as they resumed classes on Friday morning, kidnapping six pupils in the operation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement in Lafia, disclosed the rescue of the pupils, assuring that the Command has sustained search and rescue operations, in collaboration with other security agencies, for the safe rescue of the remaining four pupils. He assured that the kidnappers would be brought to book.
Nansel urged members of the public to provide information to the police that would be useful for the rescue of the four pupils in captivity of the bandits.
