Presidency 2023: Obi, Datti storm Bauchi, promise Nigerians positive change

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Baba Datti, stormed Bauchi State on campaign, decrying the 130 million poor Nigerians, and N77 trillion debt stock of the country.

Obi expressed perturbation that the debt profile of Nigeria is rising to N77 trillion. He was worried that Nigeria is breeding poverty because of bad leadership. He urged Nigerians to vote good leaders in the 2023 general elections and expect positive change in the country.

From the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa airport, the Labour Party campaign delegation went to the Palace of the Emir of Bauchi to brief the Emir of their presence and mission in the state.

The Emir of Bauchi, Rulwanu Suleman, urged politicians to show tolerance and maturity during the elections.

In the campaign team to Bauchi were renowned human rights activist, Aisha Yusuf, Professor Pat Utomi and others.

At the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Memorial Stadium, Obi to LP supporters that despite the enormous resources endowed in the country, Nigeria is being run on debt and bad economic policy, thus, making the masses suffer untold hardship, hunger and insecurity. The LP campaign team asserted that “if good leaders are elected to pilot the affairs of the country come February and March 2023, the country is going to witness a lot of positive changes”.
