Presidency 2023: Osinbajo deploys new scheme against Tinubu, others
The various presidential aspirants on the platform of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) have been engaged in last-minute mobilization and overtures for the APC 2023 ticket. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN has also deployed a new scheme against all the contenders, including the APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to clear his way for the party’s presidential ticket. Prof. Osinbajo, accordingly, held a consultative meeting on Thursday with APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, including five APC governors to round up his consultation across the country. The vice president had also met with some senators and other party stakeholders.
The meeting was said to be held at Vice President Osinbajo’s official residence in Abuja on Thursday evening.
Presidency sources disclosed that the Vice President may be having the final consultative meeting with the President at the weekend before the APC national convention on Monday, June 6.
Meanwhile, 23 aspirants are jostling for the APC 2023 presidential ticket.
