Presidency 2023: Tinubu slams agitators over running mate, says choice of a VP is his right
The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has slammed agitators of who becomes the vice-presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 election. Tinubu had after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State Gouse, Abuja, declared that he has a right to pick his running mate.
According to Tinubu, the choice of a running mate “That is my right, it’s in my pocketbook/”
There has been insinuation of plans for a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the APC, to which several stakeholders, including Tinubu’s campaign coordinator in the northeast, Babachir Lawal, had protested.
