Presidency 2023: Uncertainty increases in APC, as Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, purchases N100m presidential forms
The uncertainty over zoning has continued to increase in the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, purchased the N100 million Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the party for the 2023 presidential election.
The N100 million forms were, however, bought for the Senate President by a group of friends led by Sam Nkire, a member of the APC national caucus of and 15 senators.
Ahmed Lawan has now become a presidential aspirant for the 2023 elections despite his perceived support for the APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Senate President Ahmad will slug it out other presidential aspirants who include Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Senator Ajayi Borrofice, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, among others for the APC 2023 presidential ticket.
The controversy over zoning of the president gets more compounded as presidential aspirants spring up from across the country in the ruling APC as in the Propels Democratioc Parry (PDP).
