Reactions trail Labour Party’s manifesto
Mixed reactions have trailed the release of the Labour Party manifesto, titled “Our Pact with Nigerians: Creating a New Nigeria.”
The presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi, shared a link to the manifesto via his Twitter handle on Sunday.
Nigerians on Twitter have been reacting in varied ways since the manifesto was shared.
A popular tweep, NEFERTITI, hailed Obi saying, “It’s POssible is masterpiece. A manifesto like no other.”
Another tweep, DAVID, who complained of the delay in publishing the manifesto, said “It’s a pity Peter Obi needed a push to produce policy planks, a fundamental point of a political programme. Peter Obi is simply not ready for the job of president when you have to be pushed to release a manifesto.”
Another tweep, Henry Okelue, said, “I am 40 pages into the 62 pages of Peter Obi’s manifesto and I dare say a lot of the things planned in there are only possible if the National Assembly does not exist as an arm of government.”
“Hearty congratulations sir. It made for an enthralling read. I couldn’t drop it till I finished it. Your manifesto is simple, direct, implementable and will achieve the surgical turnaround that will birth a new Nigeria. Congratulations to our dear incoming president.” a tweep, OA. Chukwu, commented.
