Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to offload several first-team players as the club seeks to generate funds for major signings requested by manager José Mourinho ahead of the new season.

The Spanish giants are said to have identified Manchester City’s midfield star Rodri as a priority transfer target, but any move for the Spain international will depend on the club’s ability to raise significant funds through player sales.

According to reports, defender Raúl Asencio has emerged as the leading candidate to leave the Santiago Bernabéu despite his determination to remain at the club and prove himself under Mourinho.

However, the Portuguese tactician is understood to prefer a different defensive profile as he reshapes his backline.

Midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, once regarded as a cornerstone of Madrid’s future, is also no longer considered untouchable following what has been described as an inconsistent campaign.

The club is reportedly open to entertaining substantial offers for the French international, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation.

In attack, Mourinho is keen to retain Gonzalo Garcia, viewing the young striker as a valuable tactical option capable of offering a different dimension to the team’s forward play.

Meanwhile, highly rated youngsters Endrick and Franco Mastantuono could be sent out on loan.

The club believes regular first-team football elsewhere would accelerate their development and prevent their progress from stagnating due to limited playing opportunities at Real Madrid.

The anticipated squad overhaul reflects Mourinho’s determination to reshape the team in line with his tactical philosophy, with departures expected to pave the way for new arrivals as Real Madrid aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.
