Reps suspends plenary, mourns demised member
The House of Representatives on resumption of plenary activities after two months annual vacation, suspended plenary in memory of a member, Adedayo Omolafe, who died recently.
The House put all legislative activities on hold to mourn the late member, Adedayo Omolafe, who died on August 15th.
Before the halting of proceedings, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, made official announcement about the death of the lawmaker, widely known as Expensive, from Ondo State. Thereafter, the lawmakers observed one minute of silence in respect of their late colleague.
The Leader of the House, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, called for adjournment of the plenary to Wednesday after Islamic and Christian prayers were conducted for the dead colleague.
