Sanwo-Olu mourns passing of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA Chairman, Hon. Bola Shobowale
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the Chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Bola Shobowale.
Shobowale, who had been battling a prolonged illness, reportedly passed away on Friday after months of absence from office due to her health challenges. Her death marks a significant loss to her local council, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and Lagos State at large.
In a heartfelt condolence message released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu described Shobowale’s death as a monumental loss to the state. He praised her unwavering dedication to the well-being of her constituents, noting that despite her prolonged illness, she remained committed to championing developmental projects and democratic dividends for the people of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.

Governor Sanwo-Olu extended his condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, her friends, political associates, members and leaders of the Lagos State APC, as well as the Conference 57 and the entire community of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. He also commiserated with the Acting Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Oladipupo Oluwaloni, and the staff of the council, acknowledging the profound impact of their leader’s passing.
Expressing his grief, Governor Sanwo-Olu stated:
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the residents of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA on the death of their council chairman, Hon. Bola Shobowale.
“I am deeply saddened by her passing. She was a devoted and loyal member of our great party, the APC. Her loss is personal to us in Lagos State, especially within the APC, where she played a significant role in strengthening our political framework. Her contributions will be greatly missed by the entire political class, particularly in the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.”
The governor prayed for divine comfort for the deceased’s family, associates, and the people of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, asking God to grant her eternal rest.
