Family friend disputes Joyce Wigwe’s claims, reveals strained relationship with Herbert
A family friend has come forward to challenge Joyce Wigwe ’s account of her relationship with her late brother, Herbert Wigwe, revealing deep-seated conflicts and longstanding tensions.
Speaking on the alleged family dispute, the source recalled a heated argument where Joyce reportedly cursed Herbert, saying, “That your plane. One day, your plane will crash. Calm down. Money will be scattering. The money you spend on girls will scatter.”
According to the family friend, Joyce was unhappy with Herbert, believing he did not do enough for her despite his efforts.
Their dysfunctional relationship was further strained when Joyce allegedly tried to enroll her children in an elite Swiss school costing over $100,000 per year, while Herbert’s own children attended schools in England at a lower cost.

Herbert refused to meet Joyce’s demands despite pressure from their father, which reportedly led to a major fallout between Herbert and his dad. The source emphasized that no one disputes family support, but described Joyce’s alleged entitlement as excessive.
The family friend further questioned Joyce’s claims, stating that if she truly had a close bond with Herbert, she should be able to show proof of any significant trust he placed in her. “If indeed their relationship was what she claims, she should show one instance where Herbert entrusted her with anything of value,” the source said.
The statement comes amid ongoing controversies surrounding the late Access Holdings CEO, with Joyce’s public remarks continuing to stir debates over family dynamics and financial disputes.
