School teacher arrested for defiling a 7-yr-old pupil in class
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old school teacher, identified as Sirajo Ahmed, for allegedly def#ling a 7-year-old pupil in Alkeri area of the state.
It was gathered that the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, September 6 following a tip-off. The command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Monday, September 12, said the suspect lured the minor into his office in the school and defil€d her.
“Information receipt by the Division indicates that on 13/08/2022 at about 1000hrs the suspect, who is a classroom teacher at Royal Science Academic School Alkaleri, deceitfully lured his 7yrs-old pupil into his office at the said school and defil€d her.
During the investigation, the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime,” the statement read.
