Shehu Sani questions sentiments of selective protests in Nigeria
A leading human rights activist in Nigeria, Shehu Sani, has questioned the sentiments of selective protests by the various regions in Nigeria against presidents from the diverse zones.
Sani expressed dismay over the refusal of south east residents to participate in the prevailing hardship and hunger protest across the country which other parts of Nigeria participated, noting that people from the southeast supported the protest.
Shehu Sani also asked why northerners refused to protest against former President Muhammadu Buhari and late President Umaru YarÁdua but they protested against former President Goodluck Jonathan from the South-south and incumbent President Bola Tinubu from south west Nigeria.
Sani further expressed consternation over why people int eh south west protest against all president, including the ones from their region.
According to Senator Shehu Sani @ShehuSani Non Jme Questions;
“Why did the South East refused to protest when many south easterners were supporting the protest?
“Why did the Northerners refused to protest against Yar’adua and Buhari and they protested against GEJ and BAT?
“Why did the South Westerners always protest against All the Presidents?”
