Soldiers storm bandits hideout, recovers weapons
As efforts to get rid of livestock rustling and armed bandit in Zamfara State continues, troops of 223 Battalion, 1 Brigade of 1 Division Nigerian Army has carried out fighting patrol and cleared armed bandits.
The camps were located at Baba-Ndoka, Chillin and Pamagaji-Magiha villages in Dansadau Emirate, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
In addition to ensuring that those in possession of fire arms surrender them, the patrol team also had meeting with Fulani delegation led by Alhaji Ruwa who voluntarily handed over two locally fabricated pistols and three Dane guns.

He promised to persuade other known armed bandits to come out and renounce their illegal vocation.
The army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, said in a statement in Abuja that the force has resolved to clear the state of illegal arms.
