Super Eagles open 2019 AFCON training camp in Asaba June 7, play 2 top warm-ups
Super Eagles will open their training camp for the 2019 AFCON in Egypt on June 7 in Asaba and they are expected to play two top warm-up games before the big kick-off, officials have disclosed.
“the test matches will be against two former AFCON champions,” a top official told National Daily.
The Eagles will also be one of the first teams to arrive in Egypt for the tournament so as to fully acclimatize, according to NFF president Amaju Pinnick.
Nigeria are back at African football’s showpiece event after they missed out on the last two editions.
They have won the competition thrice with the last being in 2013 in South Africa.
