Super Falcons looking forward to Canada friendly—coach Dennerby
By Esther Egbe
Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby has said he is looking forward to the big challenge Canada will offer his team in a friendly next month in Spain, National Daily gathered.
The nine-time African champions will take on Canada on April 8 as well as a club from Iceland as part of their build-up to the Women’s World Cup in France.
“Canada will be a really good challenge for us because they are in the top-five teams in the world,” Dennerby said.
The Falcons, who have already featured in invitational tournaments in China and Cyprus, will also set up a training camp in Austria leading up to the World Cup.
It is the same camp the Super Eagles used prior to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The Falcons are drawn against hosts France, Norway and Korea at the 2019 World Cup in June.
