Tambuwal loses out as Wike’s camp produces Senate Minority Leader
The Senate opposition caucus loyal to the former governor of Rivers state, Nyesome Wike, has produced the Minority Leaders of the Senate.
The former governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal who was in the contest on Tuesday lost to Simon Mwadkon.
Other principal positions include; Oyewumi Olalere who emerged as the Senate Deputy Minority Leader while Darlington Nwokocha was announced as the Senate Minority Whip and Rufai Hanga as Senate Deputy Minority Whip.

Recall that the same scenario played out at the House of Representatives Chamber with Kingsley Chinda, an ally of the former Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike, emerging as the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.
Chinda and other It would be recalled that Chinda was nominated as the Minority Leader in 2019, however, then Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila announced Ndudi Elumelu as the Minority Leader. Ali Madaki of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) announced as deputy Minority Leader.
