Tems, Burna Boy makes it to Obama’s summer playlist
It is no longer news that Nigerian songs are currently making waves around the world, courtesy of the country’s best singers.
Nigeria’s Tems and Burna Boy has got their songs featured on the annual Summer Playlist of former US president, Barack Obama.
Obama, who released the list on Tuesday revealed his love for Tems’ Vibe Out and Burna Boy’s Last Last.
Other artistes on the list include Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Drake among others.
A plausible explanation to this is former United States President, Barack Obama’s 35-song summer playlist which includes Nigerian stars: Burna Boy, Tems and among others.
Sharing the list online, the former US leader wrote: ”Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies.
“It’s an example of how music really can bring us all together. Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”.
