“The other day we gave money to Afghanistan, now we are buying cars for Niger” – Babajide Otitoju slam Buhari (Video)
Popular Nigerian journalist and award-winning T.V anchor, Babajide Otitoju has weighed in on the controversy over the decision of the Federal Government to purchase vehicles worth N1.4 Billion for Niger Republic.
Recall that the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed said the gift given to Niger Republic was “part of Nigeria’s policy of assisting its neighbors to strengthen capacity to deal with insecurity”
Speaking during an interactive session on TVC News, Babajide wondered why the FG who reportedly donated $1 million to Afghanistan some months ago would give such gifts to Niger Republic given the current state of the nation.
About 47:30 minutes into a video shared on YouTube by TVC News, Babajide said “If we use money to buy vehicles for Niger Republic, that biblical prophecy (where Jesus said the talent of those who have one, will be taken and given to those who have 5) has come to pass.
“People can’t understand why that is happening at this time. The other day we gave money to Afghanistan. This is a country that can’t pay bills, this is a country where debt servicing is already out-sweeping revenue giving money to other countries, and behaving like a big boy. I don’t get it, the economy has not been properly managed.”
