This is war! Neymar dares PSG
Paris Saint-Germain will take action against Neymar after he failed to turn up for the start of pre-season on Monday. The Brazilian was part of the group expected to be back at the Campes de Loges training ground on July 8 to start preparations for the new campaign under Thomas Tuchel. However, the forward didn’t turn up, with his father claiming that PSG already knew that he wasn’t going to be present. PSG issued a statement condemning the Brazilian and saying that they’d be taking appropriate action. As past incidents indicate, Neymar will be fined for failing to turn up – just like Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore were two years ago when they did the same. Although, on that occasion, the two South Americans weren’t the subject of a club statement as PSG try to make an example of Neymar this summer.
“I don’t want any more celebrity behaviour,” was what president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told France Football recently.”I need Neymar to show me that he fully wants to be here. Just like the other [players].”No one forced him to sign [for PSG]. No one pushed him into it. He came knowing perfectly well what the project was.”I’m not saying that PSG will get rid of him this summer. I repeat, Neymar, like the other players, has to believe in our project and guarantee to us his commitment. And while he continues being at home, there will be no problem at all.”
PSG have no doubt in their minds that Neymar will stay at the club, unless there is a massive change in the situation. They haven’t received any offers for him and aren’t expecting to receive any, not even from Barcelona. If Neymar ends up staying, it will be under the orders of the club. PSG won’t take anymore nonsense, this is his first warning.
