Tinubu postpones 2025 budget presentation to National Assembly
President Bola Tinubu has postponed the presentation of the N47.9 trillion 2025 national budget to the National Assembly, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday.
The new date for the budget presentation is now Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Sources within the National Assembly confirmed the development, although the reasons for the postponement were not immediately clear.

A senior official from the National Assembly’s management assured that the new presentation date is firm and that no further changes are anticipated.
“The Wednesday presentation is sacrosanct, and an official statement to that effect will be released shortly,” the official stated.
The 2025 budget presentation marks a critical step in Tinubu’s fiscal agenda as the federal government seeks to address economic challenges and implement its developmental goals.
