Tragedy in Kano as boat mishap claims 40 lives, including school pupils
Tragedy struck in Kano State after a boat mishap claimed the lives of over 40 persons in Bagwai Local Government Area, including pupils of an Islamic school.
Several interventionist agencies, including the Kano State Fire Service, the Nigeria Police disclosed that the marine accident occurred on Tuesday evening, acknowledging that 20 dead bodies were recovered during a search and rescue operation.
The boat was said to be overloaded with passengers between 40 to 50 persons at the time of the accident.
