Two motorcyclists die in flood, property destroyed in Ondo
Flooding from torrential rainfall swept away two commercial motorcyclists who were later found dead at another location in Ondo West Local Government Area, Ondo State. Several property worth millions of naira were said to be washed away by flood.
It was narrated that the rain began at about 5.30pm and fell till 8.00pm on Tuesday.
It was said that one victim was lucky to be saved from being swept away in the flood.
The lifeless bodies of the two victims were said to be found near a collapsed bridge in the town.
The flood caused traffic lockdowns in the community and some other parts of the state for hours.
Residents, thereafter, took to the street, protesting the death of the victims and the property worth millions of naira destroyed in the flood.
