UK High Commission In Nigeria Marks Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, Birthday
The UK High Commission in Nigeria has revealed that it will be marking the official birthday and 70th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II with historical photos of the monarch.
To commemorate her birthday, the High Commission said it will share photos of her engagement with Nigerians and in Nigeria. Thus far, they have shared a photograph of Queen Elizabeth during her visit to Nigeria in 1956.
The throwback image was captioned, “On January 30th, 1956, 4yr-Old Folashade Lawson (now Randle) presents a bouquet of flowers to HM The Queen during her visit to Lagos in 1956. Her father, Chief Adeyemi Lawson was the Chairman of the Lagos Town Council at the time.”
Queen Elizabeth II marks her official birthday on June 2.
