Ukraine’s air strike sets ablaze Electrical Substation, throws Russia into darkens
Ukraine air strike on Friday damaged an electric substation in Belgorod, throwing the Russian city near the border into outer darkness. Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of Belgorod said the strike set the station on fire.
Gladkov on Telegram on Friday, disclosed that “an electric substation… caught fire after a strike on Belgorod.” He said that it would take “up to four hours” to activate a backup system and restore power.
Gladkov posting pictures of the inferno, indicated that the fire was extinguished at about 1700 GMT. The regional governor assured: “We’re going to try to repair all the damage as soon as possible.”
Gladkov also disclosed that other Ukrainian missiles hit a railway line and destroyed several electrical lines, disrupting rail traffic for several hours.
