Manchester United are in line to receive a massive Rasmus Hojlund boost. Report claims that the summer signing is in line for his United debut this weekend.

The young Dane joined United in a £72million deal from Atalanta earlier this month. His medical however picked up a small injury with his back that required careful management.

The 2–year-old has a ‘stress response hotspot’. This was sustained during pre-season training with Atlanta. He was consequently put on an individual training programme to manage his recovery.

United had two weeks ago announced that Hojlund will be sidelined for ‘a few weeks’. But it appears the wait is finally over for the Denmark international.

The Sun reports that the youngster is now ready for full training. He is expected to join the rest of the first-team squad. The forward will be involved in several sessions before Saturday’s clash with Nottingham Forest.

Hojlund has shown no ill effects to the issue and is ready to be integrated with the squad. United are though likely to tread carefully initially.

Hojlund could make United’s bench against Nottingham Forest in the EPL this weekend

It is hoped he will be fit enough to make United’s bench this weekend. And he could be introduced as a substitute to make his debut for the club.

Hojlund meanwhile was not involved as Burnley thrashed United on Wednesday. Several fringe players were involved in that behind-closed-doors friendly.  Anthony Martial though did take part.

United’s uninspiring start to the season indicates that the team seriously need more firepower up.

The Red Devils were only fortunate to claim maximum points against Wolves. They had required a goal from centre-back Raphael Varane to bail them. The defender has the only player to score for United so far this season.

The attack were particularly profligate against Spurs at the weekend. Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford had gone missing great opportunities in the first half before Antony hit the post in the second.
