VP Shettima, Ganduje, Zulum, Uzodinma, Gov Sule, Sanwo-Olu receive Oborevwori into APC
Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Governor Babagana Zulum of |Borno State, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, were among All Progressives Congrtess (AP{C) stakeholders that were in Asaba, Delta State, on Monday, to receive Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and other leaders of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) into the (APC).
Shettima, on arrival at the Asaba International Airport, was received by governors of Nasarawa, Imo, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kogi, Gombe, Lagos, Benue, Yobe, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, APC National Chairman; Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu; Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; and Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development; Ovie Omo-Agege, among others.
Former Governor Ifdeanyio Okowa at the formal defection ceremony in Asaba declared: “it is time for us to stand together in great support for Mr President and Mr Governor, because together, we can truly dominate the politics in Delta State.
“I believe there will be no other party with this move that we have made.”
Governor Oborevwori defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC last Wednesday, April 23, but making the formal defection this Monday.
