”We have made ourselves a laughing stock in the eyes of other Nigerians” – Joe Igbokwe laments
With the ongoing crisis of unknown gunmen in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Joe Igbokwe who has always been a proponent of a united Nigeria has cried out after seeing how desolate the East is becoming day by day.
In his recent post, he said ”See the workshops, the churches, the schools, the hospitals, the markets, etc of those we handed South East to in the 21st Century. IN IGBOLAND? What happened? How did we get here? When Children fight for inheritance they may all die and strangers will inherit their Father’s property. We have made ourselves a laughing stock in the eyes of other Nigerians.”
Joe Igbokwe’s lamentation is quite understood because the IPOB is a proscribed group in Nigeria. And they are deemed to be the perpetrators behind the damages being wrecked in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Igbokwe had been a fighter for the peace and unity of Nigeria from the onset, and he believes the agitation of Biafra has made the Igbos look like a laughing stock to other Nigerians.
