The management of Infinity Security Services Limited has dismissed reports linking the firm to the reported reckless shooting in Lagos by policemen attached to hip-hop star, Davido on July 31.

Recall that two mobile policemen engaged to provide security for David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, were detained and tried in orderly room for alleged reckless shooting in Lagos.

National Daily had reported that a video in circulation on social media showed two policemen allegedly shooting into the air on the street in a moving vehicle in Lagos.

The Head of Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU), ACP Abayomi Shogunle, had said that the Commissioner of police in charge of Police Mobile Force (PMF) at the Force Headquarters, had identified the men following the directive of the Inspector-General of Police.

He also explained that the two policemen of the 20 Police Mobile Force Squadron were attached to a private security company, Infinity Security Company.

Shogunle said that a popular Nigerian Musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, engaged them to provide escort for him to his house while returning from abroad.

But in statement made available to National Daily, Infinity Security Services denied having any contract with Davido. “Though we offer similar services, we have no security contract with the said musician and are not in any way connected with the incident,” said the firm’s Managing Director, Tajudeen Aderemi, in a statement on Monday.

Aderemi noted that his firm however maintains a cordial working relationship with the police and all other government security agencies, while its operatives exhibit best practices in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
