We’ll recover loot, punish looters, Buhari promises
President Muhammadu Buhari has declared looters of Nigeria’s wealth will equally face justice though his administration will recover stolen wealth.
He said this at Daura, his hometown, after observing the Eid-El-Kabir prayers on Monday.
According to him, patriotic Nigerians have nothing to fear in the fight against corruption, as his administration will ensure justice and fairness for all.
“Those who abuse the public trust, however, will face justice in addition to returning their stolen assets to the nation’s coffers,” he said in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media Garba Shehu
The President thanked Nigerians for supporting the government’s policies, programs and actions aimed at improving security, revamping the economy and combating corruption.
Buhari also reminded Nigerians that his government inherited nothing from the PDP’s 16 years of government, no infrastructure, no power, no rail, no road and no security.
But he said he was however receiving favorable reports and that the nation will have a bumper harvest this year.

According to him, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the CBN are doing something to provide employment for them the youths who are interested in agriculture.
