When we start campaign, we will know who is who – Wike
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, on Monday, dared his opponents in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties, threatening that when the campaign starts Nigerians will know who is who in the politics of the country. Governor Wike at the commissioning of the Osisioma Interchange and the Dualised Aba-Owerri Road, Aba, Abia State, on the invitation Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, said that God has given him the capacity to crush his opponents, saying that he will not leave them to God.
According to the governor, “God has given me what it takes to crush these people.
“Now that I know I have the capacity to flog these small boys, you want me to leave it for God? I won’t do that. I am going to flog them pepperly. When we start campaign, we will know who is who.”
Governor Wike declared that nobody can break his relationship with other PDP governors, who include Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State;, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
Wike and his allies have been demanding that the PDP National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, must resign after Atiku Abubakar had been nominated the PDP presidential candidate for the 203 general elections.
Wike highlighted: “No relationship can be bought with money. When I read some newspapers, they say some people are making attempts to break ranks. I said do you understand the modus operandi of what we are doing? If they understand the modus operandi, they will not waste their time.
“If you like, go and meet Ikpeazu, if you like go and meet Seyi, if you like go and meet Ortom, if you like go and meet Ugwuanyi. You don’t even understand what we are doing…you are making mistakes.”
The Rivers Governor reiterated that Ayu should respect agreement and resign or Nigerians will know who is relevant or not at the appropriate time.
Wike stated his enemies are “small boys”, adding that he will not waste time dealing with them.
He narrated: “I was in the plane with him (Ikpeazu) and we were discussing. He said why will we not leave these people for God. But I told him why are you overcrowding God? God has given me what it takes to crush these people, for me to crush my enemies.
“Now, that I know I have the capacity to flog these small boys, you want me to leave it for God? I will not do that. I am going to flog them pepperly. When we start campaign, we will know who is who.”
