Who will England Play in the Euro 2020 Knockout Stage?

At 5 p.m. on Tuesday, England will play Germany in the Euro 2020 Round of 16 at Wembley Stadium. After topping Group D by beating the Czech Republic on Tuesday night, the Three Lions faced a tense wait for their next opponents. After a thrilling 2-2 tie with Hungary, the name of their last-16 opponent has been revealed – Germany it is. With Hungary leading the Germans twice, it appeared like the underdogs would be the ones to fly to Wembley next week. However, the Hungarian’s hopes were dashed as Leon Goretzka equalized only six minutes before the final whistle. When Portugal led World Champions France in the first half of the group’s other match, the French would have been eager to play Southgate’s side.

France won the group after a spirited fightback, aided by a dubious penalty, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal finishing third.
