Why APC cabals plot to make Tanko Al-Makura APC National Chairman
Ahead of the National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress, there are varying permutations and strategies designed by the influential politicians who want to emerge as the next National Chairman of the party.
The race for the chairmanship position of the ruling party has been intensified after the party declared February as the date for its National Convention.
Influential political players from the northern Nigeria that will produce the chairmanship position have already declared their ambition to emerge the next chairman of the ruling party.
Some of the politicians justling for the position of APC National Chairman include; former Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, former Benue State Governor, Senator George Akume, former Nasarawa State Governor and Senator representing Nasarawa South, Tanko Al-Makura, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa representing Niger East amongst others.
However, available report showed that cabals within the ruling party are pushing for Senator Tanko Al-Makura as the next National Chairman of PDP.
Why The Cabals Are Pushing For Tanko Al-Makura?
A report revealed that the cabals in the All Progressives Congress are pushing for Tanko Al-Makura because of his integrity and close relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The cabals argued that Tanko Al-Makura has been an ally of President Muhammadu Buhari from the days of ANPP through CPC and now with him in APC.
The cabals pushing for Al-Makura believed that he deserves the position of APC National Chairman on the ground that he is a trusted ally of President Muhammadu Buhari who believes in his vision from the days of ANPP.
With the new development, other politicians justling for the position of APC National Chairman might lose out unless they are able to convince the APC cabals to earn their support before the National Convention of the ruling party.
