Why Buhari will win with ease if he re-contests in 2019 – APC Chieftain
By Boluwatife Ezekiel Olaleye
All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Gombe State, Abubakar Habu Mu’azu has declared that President Muhammdu Buhari will easily win if he re-contests in 2019.
The governorship aspirant said this at the weekend after a meeting of APC supporters.
He said: “Nigerians have seen his leadership qualities. People particularly in the North East have seen peace and it is because of the peace that we are here. And because of the corruption that he has been fighting he was commended the world over.
“For the elites, definitely there is a problem because there was no business as usual. The elites are crying but the common man is happy because of peace. It is only when we live in peace that we will know that we are hungry.
“It is when there is peace that you will know that you don’t have money. We thank God that things are gradually getting better and we are out of the recession.
“I assure you he [Buhari] doesn’t have to come to the North East to campaign for him to be elected. We are Ok with the peace we are enjoying, the appointments and projects like the Mambilla Hydro Power project and the establishment of the North East Development Commission as well as the exploration of oil that is going on in the region.
“People are not even talking about the APC, they are talking about president Buhari. So, wherever he goes people will follow him. In whatever party he contested I assure you, Nigerians will vote for him”.
