Will Smith reveals 9-year-old nephew’s reaction to ‘Oscar Slap’

Hollywood entertainer, Will Smith, has revealed the reaction of his nine-year-old nephew to him hitting comedian, Chris Rock, over a joke about his wife’s bald head at this year’s Oscars.

Smith, who won the Best Actor award at the ceremony shared this during an interview with Trevor Noah, on The Daily Show.

Recalling the now-infamous March 2022 event and his nephew’s reaction, Smith said, “We came home, and he had stayed up late to see his Uncle Will. We’re sitting in my kitchen, and he’s on my lap and he’s holding the Oscar. And he’s just like, ‘Why did you hit that man Uncle Will?'”

Will has since apologise to Rock and his family over the incident.
