Soludo’s supporters swarm to his house
Supporters and well-wishers of candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof.Chukwuma Soludo on Sunday night gathered at his home in Isuofia, Aguata LGA, rejoicing as they awaited the election result.
Soludo already won 18 of the 20 Local Government Areas INEC has declared so far.
He won Dunukofia, Awka South, Oyi, Anaocha, Ayamelum, Anambra East, Idemili South, Onitsha South, Njikoka, Orumba South, Onitsha North, Idemili North, Ekwusigo, Aguata, Orumba North and Nnewi South Local Government Areas.
Soludo polled a total of 103, 946 votes, followed by Mr Valentine Ozigbo who scored 51, 322 votes to emerge second.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Sen. Andy Uba, got a total of 42,942 votes to emerge the third.
Political associates, youths and women in their hundreds thronged to Soludo’s residence at Isuofia as they awaited the announcement of the result.
They believed that the APGA candidate would emerge winner at the end of the process.
