2 Catholic priests kidnapped in Kaduna
Two Catholic priests, Rev. Fr. Donatus Cleophas Sulaiman and Rev. Fr. John Mark Chietnum, have been kidnapped in Kaduna State on Friday.
The kidnapping occurred at the parish rectory of Christ the King Catholic Church, Yalding Garu, Lee L. G. A., Kaduna State, at 5:15 pm, according to a statement made by the communications director of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Fr. Chris Omotosho.
Sulaiman is the parish priest at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Shagari Low-Cost, Katsina State, Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, according to Omotosho, who is employed by the Diocese of Sokoto.
Part of the statement said, “We encourage the entire people of God to faithful join hands in praying for the safety & prompt release of our priests.”
