2 prominent South-South PDP governors that ignored Wike to support Northern aspirant for 2023
Ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election, It’s no longer a news that several Stakeholders in the Southern Region including Governors have been agitating for Power Shift to the South in 2023 because the Incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari who is a Northerner would have occupy the position for Eight years by 2023.
It’s no longer a news that some 2023 Presidential Aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Bukola Saraki, a Former Senate President; Mohammed Hayatudeen, a Foremost Banking Guru; Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and his Bauchi State Counterpart, Governor Bala Mohammed have been working together to produce a Consensus Candidate from the North.
Despite the fact that Southern Governors have unite to ensure that Someone from the Region succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, the duo of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and his Edo State Counterpart, Governor Godwin Obaseki have thrown their weight behind the Northern Presidential Aspirants to produce the 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate through a Consensus Arrangement.

They made this known when Saraki and Three Others PDP Presidential Aspirants paid them seperate visits as part of their Consultations ahead of the Primaries. Okowa and Obaseki made it clear that their ultimate goal is Competence and not Zoning.
